The main goal of many visitors to Peru is to have the unique opportunity to see the famous ruins of Machu Picchu that is why we have created this tour for you a hike through the beautiful landscapes and visit to Machu Picchu. In case you have never heard of these enchanting Inca remains, we tell you that they were built as a royal estate for the Inca emperor wiracocha .the construction has a lot of buildings, some of stone, some of adobe. The water supply to the site is an irrigation canal built by the Incas, lined with stones and the beautiful terraces which served for the cultivation of corn, Also, if you enjoy a quiet and serene place, this is for you, as you will not find large groups of tourists here. Below we explain our adventure from the ruins of Huchuy Qosqo to Machu Picchu, which will include 2 days and 1 night. This is an excellent alternative to the well-known Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

DAY 1:
QUENCCO-HUCHUY QOSQO-AGUAS CALIENTES:
The first day of the Huchuy Qosqo Trek to Machu Picchu begins with pick up at your hotel at 5:00 am then we drive for 1 hour to the community of quencco, but before starting the hike we get ready to enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by ALIPRUTREKS chef. After breakfast we prepare for a three hour hike. we will arrive to a stretch of the original Inca Trail, just below the village of Pumamarca.
On the way, we will see many llamas. Once we reach the Inca Trail, the landscape changes from high mountains to a secluded valley. This valley is a beautiful microclimate, full of lush vegetation. Many small birds can be seen, including a variety of hummingbirds that feed on the flowers. As we drive through the valley, we will be able to see snow-capped mountains and the famous sacred valley. There will be plenty of time to explore
We will head towards the main site, pass through an Inca gate and finally arrive at the magnificent Inca site of Huchuy Qosqo that towers over the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here you will see Inca buildings such as sacred temples, storehouses, Inca terraces for agriculture and an Inca reservoir used to store water during the dry season.
You will have lunch at the same Inca site, after lunch we will start our hike downhill to the Sacred Valley, which takes approximately two hours to reach the village of Lamay on the Urubamba River, where our private transportation will be there to take you to Ollantaytambo. We will have dinner in a restaurant before taking the train at 7 pm and then we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, once there you can go to rest at the hotel.

DAY 2:
MACHU PICCHU- OLLANTAYTAMBO-CUSCO
Today is the most beautiful day today, we will visit machupicchu and we recommend that you wake up early to board the first bus at 5:30 a.m. Your guide will take you to take your postal photo of Machu Picchu, then you will start the guided tour of the main sectors of the citadel, for a period of 2 hours. During this guided tour, you will learn more about the history and culture of the Inca Empire. After the end of the tour, you will have time to walk on your own. Finally, you will have to return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and get ready for your train back to Ollantaytambo. From there we will transfer you back to your hotel.
