Ali Huamán – Founder & Lead Guide

Originally from the community of Huayllaccocha, Ali is the heart of this company. After years of hard work—rising from a porter to a university-educated professional guide—Ali founded Ali Peru Treks in 2023 with a dream: to offer tourism with a soul. His deep knowledge of Inca history and mastery of Quechua, Spanish, and English ensure a transformative experience for every traveler.

At Ali Peru Treks, we operate under the strictest legal and safety standards required by the Peruvian government. We are a fully licensed and formal travel and tourism agency based in Cusco, authorized to operate throughout the national territory and specifically within the protected Inca Trail network.

DIRCETUR: Official registration with the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Cusco.
MINCETUR: Recognition by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru.
SERNANP Permits: Official authorization to operate within the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail.
Municipal License: Business operation permit issued by the City Hall of Cusco.

An amaing trekking! The tour was great. We had a sunny day and the view of Machu Picchu from the Sun gate was amazing! Also the hotel and the dinner after the trekking were great. And our guide, Ali Messias, was super helpful and prepared! Just a little suggestion: after your morning visit to Machu Picchu on day 2, book the earliest train possible to Ollantaytambo, since there is nothing to do in Aguas Calientes.

Great hike with a great guide to a great place. My 2 days and 1 night tour was well worth the money. My guide, Messiah, was knowledgeable, easygoing, and personable. As it was only the two of us, I got to set the pace for hiking, which was a bonus. For someone who doesn’t want to commit to a multi day hike with overnight camping, this is the tour to take. The hike to Machu Picchu was difficult but beautiful and made arrival at the site that much more special.

A hike to remember My mom and I did this trek for my 25th birthday. Our guide Alex took great care of us the entire time and was very patient with pacing us throughout the hike. The chefs Balerio and Carlos cooked us delicious meals for the first few nights and the horseman Segundino also took fantastic care of us and our belongings as well. All team members truly created a smooth and memorable experience for us. We would definitely recommend booking this hike! Thank you everybody :)

10/10 experience We just finished our tour with Mesias and it was amazing. The process was seamless, pick up was super easy, everything was planned out perfectly and very relaxing. Mesias was all around a great guide, experienced, knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. I would 100% recommend this exact tour to a friend and would do it again in a heart beat. Also, the hotel that they put us in was very nice and had great breakfast in the morning which was a huge plus. I recommend doing the hot springs too if you have extra time when you get back from the hike.

Fantastic Experience! We are visiting Peru with a group of 5 friends & had an amazing time during the two days spent at Machu Picchu thanks to our exceptional tour guide Messias from Ali Peru Treks. We did the hike from KM104 to Sungate which was amazing followed by the next day with a visit to Machu Picchu Circuit 3. We had a blast! Our guide, Messias, is a great guy to have around with a good sense of humor & in depth knowledge on the trail & when visiting the Machu Pichu site

Mattias is the perfect tour guide - highly recommend. This was a fantastic tour and I highly recommend it. The hike was moderate difficulty, we took it slow and made it up with plenty of time to spare. The Inca trail is safe and wide. They provided a large lunch, and organised everything (trains, buses, accomodation), which was fantastic. Our tour guide Mattias was very passionate about the history of Peru and the Incas and was the perfect tour guide. I’ve learnt so much about the area, which was beautiful.
