Ausangate Trek 2D/1N
DISCRIPTION:
The Ausangate 2 day tour offers a great variety of wildlife including, alpacas, llamas, vizcachas, vicuñas, lynx and pumas if you are lucky. you will enjoy amazing beautiful landscapes and the famous 7 lakes. we will spend a night camping you will encounter stunning views of the Ausangate snow capped mountain and you will also have the opportunity to take a dip in the hot springs on the first day and the second day after the last lunch.

DAY 1:
CUSCO – TINKI – UPIS:
We will pick you up from your hotel between 04:00 a.m to 4:20 am then we will drive south of Cusco for 2 hours in our private bus to the village of Tinki where we will get off to explore the village of Tinki and see how the local people still wear their typical dress. After exploring the village we will take our private bus for approximately 1 hour to the village of Upispampa. Here we will have breakfast prepared by our chef and then start the trek to the camp. The trail is up and down for 3 hours. You will walk through many remote villages with many stream crossings until you reach the small town of Upis. where we will spend the night. Our cook will prepare a delicious lunch with local ingredients. After enjoying our lunch, you will have the opportunity to hike to Upis Lake, which takes 2 hours round trip. After enjoying the hike we will have a hot tea and then dinner, after dinner we will go out to explore the Andean constellations.

DAY 2:
UPIS – 7 LAGOONS – PACCHANTA – CUSCO:
Today is another wonderful day, we will wake you up at 5am with a coca tea and the tour guide will wake you up by bringing coca tea to your tent and you will have 30 minutes to pack and get your things ready with coca tea or coffee brought to your hut and you will be given a delicious breakfast for the day ahead. Today is another wonderful day, our day begins with a short climb of about 20 minutes to the viewpoint where you will see Ausangate in its splendour. We will then hike up and down to the 7 lakes of Ausangate. We will explore the 7 lakes in about 1 hour today is your last day to enjoy the snow-capped mountain from a close and new angle. After exploring the lakes, we will descend to the hot springs of Pacchanta where we will enjoy hot water and views of Ausangate. We will then have lunch and say goodbye to our rider and chef and return to Cusco, where we will drop you off at your hotel around 5pm.

- This trek covers a total distance of 16 km at high altitude. We recommend that you acclimatise in Cusco 2 or 3 days before doing the tour.
