Our Strict Ethical Compliance Policy
Ali Peru Treks adheres meticulously to the Peruvian CODE ESNNA (Code of Ethics and Sustainability for Tourism and Adventure), which includes our strict Child Protection Policy. This policy is essential for preventing the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESNNA) in tourism. This exploitation, a violation of human rights, severely compromises the physical, social, and emotional development of minors. Our firm commitment ensures full compliance with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) guidelines to eradicate this issue in our operations.
Active Prevention and Community Empowerment
We implement active measures as part of our CODE ESNNA commitment. This includes providing technical assistance and strengthening the capacities of our tourism service providers through awareness campaigns, information sessions, and best practices training. Furthermore, we actively promote the mandatory signing of the Code of Conduct against ESNNA, aligning with Law N°30802 regarding the entry of minors into lodging establishments. These actions guarantee the protection and integrity of children and adolescents, ensuring an ethical and secure experience for all.
Actions We Take (Mincetur Guidelines):
- Technical assistance to regional and local governments: Training officials on ESNNA prevention in tourism.
- Informative videos: Providing audiovisual material to raise awareness and teach best practices to service providers.
- Strengthening service provider capacities: Raising awareness and transmitting best practices to tourism service providers.
- Dissemination of Code of Conduct: Promoting the mandatory signing of the Declaration of Subscription of the Code of Conduct against ESNNA.
Our ethical commitment is intertwined with our environmental policy. Read more about how we minimize impact on the environment and support communities on our Sustainable and Responsible Tourism page.
