Our Foundation: Environmental and Social Integrity
At Ali Peru Treks, we believe that true adventure is responsible adventure. Our commitment to Sustainable and Responsible Tourism is meticulous, ensuring that every trek contributes positively to the regions we explore. We are dedicated to the sustainable development and well-being of the high Andean communities and the environmental conservation of the Cusco region. We implement strict low-impact policies to protect the majestic integrity of the Andean ecosystems for future generations.
Project 1: «Conociendo las Raíces» (Knowing the Roots)
This project allows our guests to experience the life and culture of the high Andean communities directly, while actively supporting local development. Through this initiative, we offer:
- Guided Tours: Led by local villagers who share their traditions, customs, and ancestral knowledge of agriculture and traditional medicine.
- Workshops: Participation in weaving, pottery, and other traditional handicrafts, providing a direct economic contribution to local families.
- Collaborative Farming: Travelers can assist with agricultural or herding activities, learning about sustainable practices and respect for the land.
The income generated directly improves the quality of life and supports essential community projects.

Project 2: «Andean Roots» – Culture and Conservation
The «Andean Roots» program focuses on involving communities in the tourism process, providing an authentic and unique experience. This initiative is centered on cultural preservation and ecosystem health:
- Community Immersion: Our local guides accompany tourists through the paths of history and culture, sharing legends and traditional arts.
- Active Participation: Travelers are invited to participate in daily life, such as harvesting typical agricultural products (potatoes, corn), actively engaging in rural life.
- Ecosystem Conservation: Guests can get involved in activities related to the preservation of the local environment, such as reforestation or the maintenance of traditional irrigation canals.
This initiative supports the empowerment of high Andean communities by creating income reinvested in educational and health projects.
Our commitment extends to legal and ethical standards. Review our complete booking policies on our Terms and Conditions page.
