Choosing the Inca Trail 4 Day Private Tour ensures every aspect of your trek is managed to the highest standard. This exclusivity allows for a personalized pace, customized meal planning by a superior chef, and the luxury of private portable toilet tents at every campsite. Your private guide, with deep local knowledge, provides one-on-one attention, delivering detailed historical and cultural insights that are often missed in larger group settings. We manage the challenging logistics of securing your non-transferable government permit, ensuring a stress-free experience from start to finish.

The private option elevates the experience by providing higher-quality equipment, allowing you to focus completely on the majesty of the trail and the Inca ruins. Furthermore, your investment supports our ethical tourism model, which guarantees fair wages, proper gear, and dignified treatment for our entire team of porters and support staff. When comparing routes, remember that only the Classic Inca Trail offers the direct arrival to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku).

We provide early, private pickup from your hotel in Cusco or Ollantaytambo. After a premium breakfast stop, we arrive at Km 82, where you must present your official permit and original passport. The hike is relatively easy (approx. 6 hours), focusing on gentle acclimatization and visiting the archaeological sites of Q’anabamba and Llaqtapata. We conclude the day at our private campsite at Ayapata (3,300 m / 10,824 ft), where your dedicated team serves a gourmet dinner.

Since the permits are limited by the government, the booking window for the Inca Trail 4 Day Private Tour is critical. You must secure your permits at least 6 months in advance, especially for the high season (May-September). We manage this complex process for you.

Yes, the official, non-transferable government permit is included in your package. As an authorized direct operator, we purchase the permit in your name immediately upon receiving your deposit and passport details, guaranteeing your access to the trail.

Our private tours include a premium culinary experience. Your dedicated chef prepares fresh, gourmet meals using local ingredients, with the ability to highly customize the menu for dietary restrictions and preferences beyond what is possible in a group setting.

The highest point is the Dead Woman’s Pass (Warmiwañusca) at 4,215 meters (13,829 ft) on Day 2. We emphasize proper acclimatization in Cusco (recommended 2-3 days) and monitor your health closely with an oxygen tank always at hand.

The trek is moderately challenging, suitable for individuals with average fitness who are comfortable with multi-day hiking. The private service is beneficial for beginners as the guide can customize the pace to your needs, reducing the physical strain.

While the government assigns the general campsites for all trekkers, our private service ensures the highest quality setup within those areas: superior tents (Eureka), personal porters, and private portable toilets for cleanliness and comfort.

Our service includes a Personal Porter who will carry up to 7 kg (15 lbs) of your personal belongings (duffel bag), which includes your sleeping bag and air mattress. You only carry your small daypack.

Our safety protocol is rigorous and includes a highly experienced private guide, emergency satellite phones, a full first aid kit (First aid kit), and a portable oxygen tank, ensuring the quickest possible response to any medical or altitude concern.

We are a 100% Peruvian, direct operator. This means we have direct control over the quality of gear, the experience of the guide, and the ethical treatment of our porters, guaranteeing a superior and responsible experience from the source.

Yes. High-quality down sleeping bags (rated for minimum -10°C) and professional trekking poles (with rubber tips required by the Inca Trail regulations) are available for a small fee, which you can arrange upon booking.

The private option is ideal for families as it allows for extremely flexible scheduling, shorter walking days if needed, and dedicated attention from the guide, making the challenging sections much more manageable for younger trekkers.

Permits sell out quickly. If you miss the window for the Inca Trail 4 Day Private Tour, we strongly recommend booking one of the alternative treks, such as the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu 5D or the Lares Trek to Machu Picchu 4D/3N.

Yes. Since Day 4 starts early at the Wiñaywayna camp (closer to the Sun Gate), our itinerary is designed to ensure your private group arrives at Inti Punku at or near sunrise, offering that spectacular first view of Machu Picchu.

After your guided tour, you take the bus down to Aguas Calientes. Our team coordinates your return trip, which involves boarding your train (Expedition Class) and meeting our private transport at the station to drive you directly to your hotel in Cusco.

Yes. Smaller groups inherently leave a smaller footprint on the trail. We also enforce strict rules regarding waste management and prioritize sustainable practices as part of our core mission.

Yes. A key premium feature is the provision of clean, private portable toilet tents set up at every campsite and lunch spot, ensuring a much more sanitary and comfortable experience compared to standard public facilities.

Tipping is voluntary but customary to recognize the exceptional service of your private guide, chef, and porters. Your private guide will provide discreet, fair tipping recommendations on the final night.

Tickets for the Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain upgrade sell out first, sometimes 6-8 months in advance. We recommend securing this optional permit at the same time you book your Inca Trail 4 Day Private Tour permit.
