- Tour description
We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:30 a.m. then we will go 30 minutes from the city of Cusco to pucapucara where you will start trekking uphill for one hour until you reach the top we will pass through Inca areas, agriculture and Andean potato cultivation Your tour guide will provide you with information about how and where the Incas came to this area and about the Spanish conquest. Arriving at the top, we find a spectacular landscape that makes your trekking more marvelous. We continue walking for one more hour until lunch, at Lake Queullococha. The landscape at the lake is quite beautiful, the whole area is a high puna between the mountains and is covered with Andean grass, Andean grass. It is possible to see a great variety of birds, such as Andean geese, lapwings, partridges, among others. After lunch, the trekking continues for three more hours to our camp. We will walk through the paths of the mountains and we will have the opportunity to visit another Qoriqocha lake. In the morning, you will wake up with a hot tea you will have time to pack your personal things the chef of Ali Peru treks will wait for you with an incredible breakfast after enjoying breakfast we continue with the trek to the Inca site on the way we meet local people working farming children grazing sheep, llamas. After 2 hours of trekking, you will arrive at a section of the original Inca trail. The landscape changes from high mountains to a valley. This valley is a beautiful microclimate, full of lush vegetation. Many small birds can be seen, including a variety of hummingbirds that feed on the flowers. As we move forward, we can see snow-capped mountains and the river of the sacred valley. Arriving at the Huchuy Cosco Inca site you will have time to explore such as sacred temples, warehouses, Inca terraces for agriculture and an Inca reservoir used to store water in the dry season. Your guide will take you through all this, after exploring everything we head downhill for 2 hours until we reach the town of Lamay 2920 m.s.n.m. where our transport awaits us to transfer us to the town of ollantaytambo where we will have our dinner before taking the 7 pm train to aguas calientes. Once in Aguas Calientes, your guide will drop you off at your hotel.

On the last day you will wake up early with a cup of coffee or a cup of coca tea in your tent, enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by your trekking chef and take the bus to Machu Picchu. The tour guide will take you to explore the most famous buildings, squares and streets. After the guided tour, the most adventurous can make a 2-hour climb to the nearby peak of Huayna Picchu or Machu picchu. Please note that park officials limit the number of visitors to Huayna Picchu to 400 per day and tickets must be purchased in advance. Then we will have to take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, you will go in a private transport back to the city of Cusco, arriving there we will drop you off at your hotel.
