It is a very short walk of the Inca trail with camping 2D / 1N with a camping adventure, in this tour we will be able to appreciate the ruins of Chachabamba, Wiñaywayna. This tour begins with a first day of walking uphill. This little by little until you reach the famous Winawayna ruins, where you will stop for lunch. From this place, you will be able to walk, until you reach the Puerta Del Sol, where you will have the opportunity to see Machu Picchu through the Puerta del Sol. You will have the unique opportunity to see Machu Picchu almost empty.

The 2-day trek offers a perfect way for a trekking adventure in Peru, with the added comfort of an overnight camp near the town of Machupicchu Aguas Calientes. This campsite includes a well-deserved shower, freshly prepared meals by our chef, and areas for charging batteries/phones.

Day 1:
Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Km 104(chachabamba)

We will pick you up from your hotel around 4:00 am, we will transfer you to the Ollantaytambo station to take the train to Km 104, here you will begin your walk following the original path of the Incas through the Andean mountains. The first Inca ruins you will come across are those of Chachabamba, a small archaeological complex believed to have once been a guard house for Machu Picchu. From here, the trail ascends with a gradual incline for three hours until it reaches 2,650 meters (8,690 feet). You will visit the Wiñay Wayna site, which means "Eternal Youth" in the indigenous Quechua language. The name comes from the orchids that dot the landscape, making Wiñay Wayna perhaps the most beautiful place on the Camino. After touring the site, we had lunch and took a little rest, then we headed towards the Inti Punku or the “Puerta Del Sol” , from where you can see Machu Picchu in all its majesty and grandeur. From Inti Punku, you will walk downhill for approximately 30 minutes towards the main citadel ruins, enjoying magnificent panoramic views along the way. Then you will take a bus to our camp. The camp is just below the Machu Picchu mountain and close to the Vilcanota river.

Day 2:
Machu Picchu - ollantaytambo - Cusco

On the last day you will wake up early with a cup of coffee or a cup of coca tea in your tent, enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by your trekking chef and take the bus to Machu Picchu. The tour guide will take you to explore the most famous buildings, squares and streets. After the guided tour, the most adventurous can make a 2-hour climb to the nearby peak of Huayna Picchu or Machu picchu. Please note that park officials limit the number of visitors to Huayna Picchu to 400 per day and tickets must be purchased in advance. Then we will have to take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, you will go in a private transport back to the city of Cusco, arriving there we will drop you off at your hotel.
