Choquequirao 4 days is another Inca trail nicknamed the other sister of Machu picchu; This spectacular archaeological site was hidden in the mountains for centuries and was only recently discovered. The trek to Choquequirao passes through some of the most impressive mountains in Peru, lush jungles, deep canyons, and snow-capped peaks.

Choquequirao trek 4 days is believed to be up to twice the size of Machu Picchu (exact size unknown as most of it is still covered by jungle), the road to Choquequirao takes you through views of the Apurímac valley . Hike steep roads and trails through dense cloud forest, dusty desert, and spectacularly scenic passes with views of spectacular landscapes.

Day 1:
Cusco Capuliyoc - Chikiscca -Santa Rosa

The pick up from your hotel will be early between 4:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. We go to the place of Capuliyoc, the trip consists of 3 hours. During the course of the trip, take a look at the window to be able to appreciate the mountains, very striking landscapes that our Peru has. Once Arriving at Capuliyoc (2900 m.s.n.m,/2599 feet) we will enjoy the first breakfast prepared by the chef of ALI PERU TREKS

After breakfast we get ready for our 4-hour expedition until we reach the point of our lunch, most of it downhill during the journey we will be able to enjoy the magnificent views of the valley and the Apurímac river. In chikiscca (1900 m.s.n.m /6289 ft) we will enjoy our lunch. After lunch and a short nap, you will be back on the trail and we will cross the Apurímac river for another 2 hours of trekking uphill to our first camp, Santa Rosa (2200 m.s.n.m /7,282 ft). Where we will camp for the night and you will have your first dinner and then sleep early.

Day 2:
SANTA ROSA – MARANPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO

Very early in the morning we will wake up with a hot tea once you have enjoyed breakfast we prepare for the trekking of the challenging but spectacular day we will ascend uphill for approximately 5 hours until we reach the town called Maranpata, where we will have our lunch and taste a sugar cane drink prepared by locals. From this lunch spot, we will see a mystical part of Choquequirao in another direction. After a short nap, you will continue uphill for 2 more hours to reach the second camp, located in the Choquequirao park (2,950 m.s.n.m / 9,676 ft). This afternoon, we will go to explore a part of the religious site of Choquequirao, then we will return to our camp. You will have your happy hour with tea and popcorn, dinner and then bed.

Day 3:
CHOQUEQUIRAO-(EXPLORATION)-CHIQUISCA

Today is another very early breakfast with hot tea, we get ready to enjoy breakfast. This archaeological site is considered the last Inca city. This is really special as it is still relatively unknown and far from the crowds that visit Machu Picchu. Today we will go back to explore the other part of Choquequirao for 2 hours. Once you have explored all you could of Choquequirao, you will begin your descent downhill for 3 hours before reaching the Apurímac river. We will have our lunch in Santa Rosa, where we spend the first night we continue downhill for 1 hour more downhill until we reach the Apurímac river and 2 hours uphill to the last camp in Chiquiska (1800 m,s,n,m / 5905 ft) this is our last camp with a good view towards the Apurimac canyon.

Day 4:
CHIQUISCA – SAYWITE – CUSCO

After an early breakfast you will start trekking for about 3 hours in the direction of our last lunch (capuliyoc) this will be the last time you see the beautiful views offered by the Apurímac river, so be sure to enjoy them. Once we arrive at the capuliyoc place, we will have a farewell time to our muleteers, cook and other members who were part of our team for 4 days also our last lunch. After that, we will take our private transport back to Cusco for approximately 4 hours with some stops along the way, one of them is a stop at Saywite, a unique place to see a large Inca monolith called the Saywite monolith is a symbolic representation. of our cosmos, where the Incas used a living granite rock to carve more than 208 figures in the form of geometric figures including reptiles, frogs, felines, irrigation channels, etc. Arriving in Cusco we will drop you off at your hotel.
